Edward Harrison Carr, 64, died on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born on October 9, 1952 in Enid, Oklahoma at Vance Air Force Base to Adrian Harrison and Virginia (Sumpter) Carr. Edward graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa. He worked many years as an automotive mechanic in the Tulsa area. He enjoyed racing street rod cars and playing chess. He was a simple man.
He was preceded in death by his father, Adrian Harrison Carr.
Survivors include mother, Virginia Sumpter Carr of Tulsa, Oklahoma; siblings, Deborah Kerr of Barnsdall, Oklahoma, Jess Carr and wife, Donna of Bixby, Oklahoma, Jim Benjamin Carr of Red Bank, Tennessee, Merilisa Conway and husband, Jeffrey of Galena, Missouri; aunts, Sue Carr of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Bernice Lawhorn of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bernice Mock of Walla Walla, Washington, Letha Faye Johnson of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; many nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; cousins and his extended family at the Ambassador Manor Nursing Home.
Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:00am at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
