Edward Alfred Herhold

Edward Alfred Herhold age 82 passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014 at Claremore Nursing Home in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Edward was born April 17, 1931 in Melrose Park, Illinois to Herman August Herhold and Anastasia Yaspelkis. Edward graduated from Proviso High School in Maywood, Illinois. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed hiking, backpacking and woodworking. Edward was an avid Boy Scout Leader for Troop 26 from 1969 through 1978. He also volunteered for Meals on Wheels. Before retiring, he worked as a petroleum insurance account manager. Edward was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Claremore, Oklahoma.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Herman Herhold, and his daughter, Melinda Boucher.

He is survived by his son, Mark Herhold and his wife, Cindy of Arlington, Texas, his daughter Ronda Roberts and her husband, Joe of Broken Arrow, OK, his daughter Chris Stallsmith and her husband, Rick of Springfield, MO, his son Bill Herhold and his wife, Tracey of Murietta, CA, his son, Thomas Herhold of Joplin, MO, his brother, Allen Herhold and his wife, Susie of Tucson, AZ, his brother Don Herhold and his wife, Nancy of Spring City, TN, seventeen grandchildren, five great grandchildren along with other family members and friends.

Memorial services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2013 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Claremore, Oklahoma. Reverend Mark Burger will officiate.
