Edith Faye Zaletel passed away with on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at the age of 83 years.
Edith was born on September 21, 1938 in Schulter, OK to her parents, Antone and Nadine (Higginbotham) Zaletel. She spent her childhood years growing up in Okmulgee County.
After graduating high school, Edith proudly served our country in the Marines, enlisting at the age of 19. She was grateful for the time she served in the Marines as a telephone operator; because of her service she gained confidence, perseverance, hard work and determination along with other valuable life skills which she relied on throughout her lifetime.
Edith worked many different jobs during her life, however her most recent job was as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart.
Edith enjoyed watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play basketball, softball, and baseball games. She loved spending time with her family. Enjoyed holiday family get togethers. She was a great cook, Edith was known for her chili, her deviled eggs, cabbage, sweet tea, and pork rinds, Hershey's and Pepsi were her absolute favorites. She would cook each of her family members their favorite meal when it was their birthday. She also enjoyed going to the casino.
She is preceded in death by parents, Antone and Nadine Zaletel, sisters, Josephine, Goldina, Agnes, Dolly, Elaine and granddaughter Jaden.
Edith leaves many loving memories with her family, daughters Barbara Burns, Debbie Leedy, Frances Baca and husband Ralph; son Mike Angielski; Grandchildren Joseph Roberts, Kristin Stafford, Leanne Crabtree, Justin Leedy and wife Sarah, Allison Lloyd and husband Christian, Jordan Brown and wife Jordan, Brooklyn Angielski and Dakota Angielski; Great grandchildren Sterling, Tierney, Rielan, Taten, Izac, Carson, Faith, Gracie, Brylar and Parker; great-granddaughter Mary; along with many other loving relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Service will be held 10:00 AM March 21, 2022 at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta with military honors.
