Mr. Smothers was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Virgil E. Smothers and Mildred Webb on July 30, 1953.
Mr. Smothers resided in Broken Arrow for the past 3 years coming from South Carolina. Hal Smothers was a radiology technician and had worked for Saint Francis Hospital. Hal received great pleasure from listening to music, watching movies and bowling. He was a member of Roebuck Plaza Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Virgil E. Smothers. Earnest is survived by his mother, Mildred and her husband, Max Barton of Broken Arrow; his sister, Kathy and her husband, Randy Gradwohl of Broken Arrow, and his niece, Charlotte Gradwohl and nephew, Chris Gradwohl of Broken Arrow.
A private family service will be held in Birmingham, Alabama
