Dovie Reed Poulos

Dovie Reed Poulos age 79 passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010 at her residence in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Dovie was born February 3, 1931 to Albert Doyle Reed and Lovena (Stout) Reed in Springdale, Arkansas. She graduated from Springdale High School in 1949. She was selected for the all district basketball team and was active in many school activities. She attended the St. Johns School of Nursing in Tulsa devoting her life to nursing. Dovie most recently worked for Dr. Thomas Nulf for 19 years before her retirement in 1998. She loved playing golf, baking, cooking and spending time with her family.
Dovie was preceded in death by her parents: Albert and Lovena Reed and a brother: Wayne Reed who lost his life in the Korean War.
She is survived by her sister: Jimmie Boatright of Springdale, AR; her son: Marc Poulos of Mt. Home, AR; her daughters: Dana Antonides, Pamla Breashears, and Paula Thompson all of Tulsa, OK. She had six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Burgundy Place, 8887 S. Lewis, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Reverend Gary Volz will officiate.
