Douglas Leroy Sly

Douglas Leroy Sly, a resident of Weleetka, passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2010 in Weleetka, Oklahoma at the age of 65 years. Douglas was born in Lamoni, Iowa on June 11, 1945 to Francis and Ardis Sly. He drove a truck for the Mill Creek Lumber Company and also served in the United States Army for four years. Douglas was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Johnny Sly and Wayne Sly. He is survived by his son Russel Sly of Des Moines, Iowa, 2 sisters Sheryl Schmitt and husband Eugene of Des Moines, Iowa and Feryl Boushard and husband Ron of Des Moines, Iowa; 4 brothers Lee Sly and wife Bernice of Weleetka, OK, Kenneth Sly and wife Linda of Providence, Iowa, Bob Sly and wife Cindy of Des Moines, Iowa, and Larry Sly and wife Toni of Des Moines, Iowa; 1 grandchild Cora Jane Sly, as well as many other relatives and friends.
