Dorothy Katherine Haun

Dorothy Katherine Haun age 61 went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, May 4, 2006 in Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Haun was born October 28, 1944 in Maryville, Missouri to Eugene Edison Thompson and Dorothy Mae West Thompson. She married Joseph Haun in 1968 in Ontario, California. She attended City Gate Christian Centre in Huntington Beach, California.
Dorothy had a gift being creative with flowers. She worked in floral shops throughout Anaheim, California. After realizing her talent in this field, she and her husband opened their own floral shop, Barstow Flowers and Gifts, in Barstow, California. For many years she received great enjoyment being creative making floral arrangements besides doing the bookkeeping for their business. Before retiring Dorothy worked as a secretary for AVCO Financial Company for five years.
Dorothy moved to Glenpool, Oklahoma December 17, 2005 coming from Laguna Niguel, California. In Glenpool she lived with her sister in-law and Cindy Burns, her caretakers, during the last few months of her courageous battle with cancer. When Dorothy was feeling up to it she enjoyed playing cards, dominos and watching television.
Dorothy was preceded in death by both her parents: Eugene Edison and Dorothy Mae Thompson and her beloved husband: Joseph Haun who died in 2002.
She is survived by her two sons: Kelly Haun and his wife Liz of Paramount, California; Kevin Haun and his wife Amber of Santa Margarita, California; her brother: Phillip Thompson of Huntington Beach, California; two sister in-laws: Beverly Jenssen of Glenpool, Oklahoma and Connie Ingle. Mrs. Haun leaves behind three grandchildren: Marcello Michael Jacome; Joseph Scott Haun and Sheyanne Elyzabeth Haun. Graveside services will be at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
