Doris Helen Chapman

Doris Helen Chapman of Okmulgee, Oklahoma was born to parents Hayden and Glenna Hendrickson on April 10, 1931 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She passed away at her home on September 26, 2020 at the age of 89.

Doris was a graduate of Okmulgee High School in the class of 1950. She had several jobs over the years including Mid Continent Map in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pine Oil, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, attended beauty school and had a home daycare for children. Doris loved being outdoors. She enjoyed working in the yard, attending arts and crafts shows, and spending time with her family. Doris was a private person but also very caring and was always willing to help anyone in need.

She met Murry Chapman and together would marry and have four children, Murry Chapman II, Dirk Chapman, Eric Chapman, and Tina Chapman.

She is preceded in death by husband Murry Chapman, father Hayden Hendrickson and mother Glenna Hendrickson as well as brother, Andy Hendrickson, son Dirk Chapman, daughter Tina Chapman, and great-great grandson, Ryder Chapman.

Those left to cherish her memory and carry her legacy include two sons, Murry Chapman II (wife Teena and their children Rebel Chapman and Robyn Goldsberry) and Eric Chapman (wife Sheryl and their children John Chapman, Charles Rawlings, Lori Chapman Kanada, and Kristina Chapman). Also her siblings, Donald Hendrickson, Hayden Hendrickson, Glenna McConnell, Alice Jeffress, and John Hendrickson. As well as seventeen great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday October 1, 2020 at Okmulgee Cemetery in Okmulgee, Oklahoma with pastor Rex McDowell officiating.
