Dori Ellen Hankins

April 18, 1959 — September 22, 2006

Dori Ellen Hankins age 47 passed away Friday, September 22, 2006 in Claremore, Oklahoma.
Dori Hankins was born in Orange, California on April 18, 1959 to John Zuber and Kerene Curtis. She attended schools in California.
She moved from Verdigris to Claremore approximately two years ago. Dori was a homemaker. She took her children to the library and taught them to read, to listen to great music and to love with all their hearts. Dori loved her horses, her dogs, her cats and all of God's creatures. As the poet and classicist W. H. Auden said: €œShe was my North, my South, my East and West, My working week and my Sunday rest, My moon, my midnight, my talk, my song; I thought that love would last forever; I was wrong. The stars are not wanted now; put out every one; Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun; Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood. For nothing now can ever come to any good.€
She was preceded in death by her mother: Kerene Curtis.
She is survived by her fiancé: Robert Mark Solano of Claremore; three sons: Alexander Hankins of Tulsa; Michael €œTony€ Hankins of Tahlequah; Patrick Hankins of Claremore; daughter: Katherine A. Hankins of Claremore; two brothers: Michael Dorn and David Dorn of California.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26th at Trinity Episcopal Church, 501 South Cincinnati, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Father Steven McKee will officiate.
Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care. Family and friends may view the obituary and send condolences to the family online at www.schaudtfuneralservice.com
