Donna Marie MacDonald, 67, a lifelong Tulsan, passed away on February 12, 2019 while listening to some of her favorite things: Judy Collins, Michael Crawford singing Andrew Lloyd Weber’s greatest hits, and her daughter reading aloud Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
She earned an Associate Degree from Tulsa Junior College and worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Oklahoma Osteopathic/Tulsa Regional Medical Center for many years. As a middle-aged adult, she began taking classes that piqued her interest and curiosity and eventually earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Letters (Humanities) from the University of Oklahoma. She was extraordinarily proud of this accomplishment.
A prolific seamstress, quilter, knitter, and practitioner of the art of crochet, she liked nothing better than sharing her creations with those she loved. Donna was a Dramatic Soprano and loved to sing. She was very proud to have sung in the choir at First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa. She was a woman of strong enthusiasms, which included opera, Star Trek, British murder mysteries, dogs, and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Underwood, her mother, Elwanda Parmley Tiller, her step-father, Jerry Tiller, and her brother, Mike Underwood.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Sneed, Jennifer’s husband Kelly Sneed, her grandchildren Meredyth, Ethan, and Caitrin Sneed, and a great-grandchild William. Also, her brother Forrest Underwood and his wife Claudia, her brother Mark Underwood and his wife Sheila, her step-sister Karly Jo Underwood, and her step-mother Myra Underwood.
