Donna Jo Goumaz-Layton

Donna Jo Goumaz-Layton died August 3, 2020, at the age of 76.

Donna was born June 17, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to her parents, Roy and Mary (McDowell) Goumaz. She grew up in the Tulsa area and graduated from Will Rogers High School in 1962. After High School she attended Roberts Beauty College, becoming a beautician and going to work in her aunt's shop for more than 10 years.

On July 4, 2000, Donna married Jerry Leo Layton in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. They had dated in High School, but after life took its course, finally ended up together, and had almost 20 years together. Every year they would go back to Eureka Springs and renew their vows.

She was a member of University United Methodist Church. Donna also enjoyed doing artwork and reading, and was very fond of Native American jewelry.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Leo Layton; four step-children; and 14 grand and great-grand children.

A memorial service to honor Donna's life will be held at 4:00 PM, on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel.
