Donald S Carpenter

Beloved husband, son, dad, papa, and friend, Donny (or Don, as he was known to some) Carpenter, passed away in Tulsa after a sudden cardiac event in the early hours of July 18, 2023.

Donny was 65 years old and in the midst of enjoying retirement after a long career as a union plumber and proud member of Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 430 since the late 1970s. Even in retirement, Donny was constantly working on projects in his home shop and at his and his wife, Jeanie's, cabin near Locust Grove. In fact, when Donny passed, he was in his shop welding on an engine with his grandson-exactly the way he would choose to go.

Donny married the love of his life, Jeanie Orcutt Carpenter, in 1979 after having dated her since the ninth grade. Donny and Jeanie had three kids and three grandchildren, of which Donny was so proud. Donny's family will hold a celebration of life sometime this fall when everyone can more comfortably gather outside.

Donny was preceded in death by his father, Richard Bruce Carpenter of Claremore; survived by his wife Jeanie of Tulsa; and their children: Zach Carpenter and wife Beckie of Tulsa, Taylor Carpenter of Tulsa, and Hayley Carpenter of Washington, D.C. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Christeen Gaskill, of Sand Springs and Okfuskee County, and his siblings: Sherry Horacek of Sand Springs, Larry Carpenter and wife Vicki of Sand Springs, and Forrest Carpenter and wife Sheri of Tulsa. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Dyllan Carpenter, Tate Carpenter, and Brynlee Carpenter, all of Tulsa.

May Donny rest peacefully-he was so loved and will be sorely missed.
