Donald Morris Cunningham

Donald Morris Cunningham passed away with loving family by his side on Sunday, February 28, 2021, at the age of 85 years.

Don was born in Stone County, MO to his parents, Carl and Lula (Martin) Cunningham. Don graduated from Springfield High School and went on to attend Drury College in Springfield, MO.

Don loved his family and leaves many loving memories with his family, wife Margaret (Maggie) Cunningham; daughter Jeana Engberg and husband, Jerry; son Erick Cunningham and wife, Jamie. He was proud of his children and loved to tell of their accomplishments.

As President of BancSearch, Inc., Don worked alongside Maggie. He easily made personal and professional friends. He was a past member of the Tulsa Ski Club, Toastmasters, and the Tulsa Running Club. He served as Chairman of the American Heart Association Heart Ball, President of the Oklahoma Association of Personal Consultants, and was a member of the Executive Committee of the National Banking Network.

Running and fishing were some of Don's hobbies. However, his passion was sailing as he was certified for offshore sailing. He enjoyed being at the helm of a sailboat with the wind in the sails and Maggie by his side.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Lula Cunningham.

A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Unity Church-Midtown, 3355 S. Jamestown Avenue, Tulsa, OK 74135. The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made in Don's memory to the Fisher Center of Alzheimer's Research Foundation, www.alzinfo.org or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
