Donald Lee Baccus age 69 passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family members.

Don was born April 20, 1945 in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Floyd and Dicy Baccus. He was raised in Jenks and graduated from Jenks High School with the Class of 1963. On August 11, 1966 Don was drafted by the United States Army. He served in Vietnam with the 365th Transportation Co. where he earned the rank of Sergeant E5 before being Honorably Discharged in August 1968. Don returned to work at Pepsi and he worked his way into a management position.

In 1978 Don met Cynthia on a blind date that was set up by a mutual co-worker. Their first date was unusual, as Cynthia's children, Sean and Micah were also there. Ten days later they were engaged to be married. Don and Cynthia exchanged vows on August 25, 1978 at First Presbyterian Church in Tulsa.

In 1981 Don retired from Pepsi after receiving a call from God to go into the ministry. He started his ministry doing tent revivals and working in the children's ministry at First Assembly of God in Sapulpa. In 1981 Don and Cynthia had their first child together, Christina. They also purchased the Open Gap Christian Bookstore in Sapulpa. In 1985 they moved to Sparkman, Arkansas to pastor a church which was started from a tent revival. In 1986 due to health issues they return to Tulsa where he continued to pastor at several full gospel churches - primarily Pentecostal Church of God. Don and Cynthia had their second child together, Donald, Jr, in 1987.

In 1999 Don retired from the ministry due to health reasons. At this time he became involved with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and with the Honor Guard serving grieving families by paying tribute to fallen veterans. Don also enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, cooking for his friends, traveling with his wife, Cynthia who he loved very much and spending time with his family.
