Donald E. Call went to his heavenly home June 3, 2016 in Collinsville, OK. Born December 22, 1930 in Patricksburg, Indiana where he was raised on a farm before the family moved to a dairy farm in Kansas. After school he began his career with REA Express as a truck driver moving quickly up the ranks to Terminal Manager and Executive Officer. Following in his father' s footsteps , an Indy racecar driver, Don owned and raced a flat-head Ford in Wichita. After running his own trucking brokerage firm, he retired to enjoy his passion for golf, car racing and being with his family. Always ready with a funny story, he passed his sense of humor to his family.
Preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Don is survived by his daughters: Mary McCormick , Vicky Courtney, Donna Hightower, and Becca (Chris) Pound along with eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Don will be laid to rest with his parents and siblings in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Bentley, KS following a graveside service on Wednesday, June 8th.
A viewing will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Tuesday, Jun 7th at the Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service in Tulsa.
