Don Lowell Paddock, age 49, beloved husband and father, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. Don was born February 23, 1964 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lester L. Paddock and Frances LaVern (Palmer) Paddock and was number five of their six boys. He graduated from Vinita High School in 1983 and married his wife, Tamara L. (Goins) Paddock on April 15, 1984. Their daughter Savanna was born in 1988 and their son Jake was born in 1996.
Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Savanna Rae, his mother LaVern, and brother John. Survivors include his wife Tami and son Jake of the home, father Lester L. Paddock and wife Mary of Sapulpa, OK, brothers Steven Paddock, Ronald Paddock and his wife Jan of Edmond, OK, Charles Ray Paddock and Connie of Oklahoma City, OK, Patrick Paddock and wife Dana of Wellston, OK, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
Don became a butcher in 1984 and worked for Tulsa Beef and Provision at the time of his death. Don was known as “Coach” to many. He spent years coaching Jake’s football and baseball teams and never missed a single game. One of his greatest joys was to throw a good party for family and friends. He loved to grill a steak to order for you and swelled with pride when told it was the best steak you had ever eaten in your life. Don also loved God and provided the service of sign-changer at St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church.
