Don Douglas Van De Wege

Don Douglas Van de Wege passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 27, 2015 in Broken Arrow. He was born December 10, 1939 to John and Ruby (Perry) Van de Wege. Don spent his early childhood in the Kingfisher area. His family moved to Tulsa when he was 12 years old. Don met his wife Lani (Tomy) in the 7th grade at Roosevelt Jr. High School. They both graduated together at Tulsa Central High School in the Class of '58. Don pursued a career path in accounting. He was a payroll manager for Williams Companies, Williams Engineering, and Fluor Daniels. He also worked part-time for Evangelistic Temple.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; his brother David; and his cousin Pat Cutter. He is survived by his wife Lani; son Rusty and his wife Lena and daughter Lori and her husband Dennis; and his grandsons JD, Robbie, Mike, Grant, Jonah, and Joseph.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher W. Teel of Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service at Memorial Park , 5757 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 PM, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Spirit Life Church (Formerly Evangelistic Temple), 5345 S. Peoria Avenue in Tulsa. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
