Don Carlos Duncan

December 26, 1927 — November 8, 2016

Don Duncan, 88, of Tulsa Oklahoma passed away Nov. 8, 2016. Born Dec., 26, 1927 in Tulsa, Okla. to Lottie and Floyd Duncan, he was a well known commercial illustrator and pictorial sign painter having worked at Cities Service, North American Aviation, Knapp Advertising, Stokely Outdoor Advertising and Donrey Outdoor Advertising. He served in the Aviation Branch of the US Marines in post WWII era.

He loved the outdoors and photography, traveling to places such as Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming photographing wildlife, and as a hobby enjoyed painting fine art wild life oil paintings. In his earlier days he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had his pilots license and loved to fly every chance he could. He is survived by his daughter, Donna Belitz of Broken Arrow, Okla. and his son David Duncan and wife Lisa of Tulsa; 4 grandsons; Danny and wife Leslie, Chris, Chad and wife Jackie and Ben; and 7 great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, he is preceeded in death by his son, Steven Duncan, great-grandson, Cohen Potter , and a sister, Hope Vaught of Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Fellowship Bible Church, Tulsa.
