On Saturday, July 23, 2022, Dionissio "David" Valentino, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 64. Dionissio was born on March 17, 1958, in Manhattan, New York, to Migeul Fonseca and Gloria Acevedo. He was raised in Brooklyn, New York, but later moved to California, where he spent his teenage years and early adult life. He later joined the United States Marine Corps and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after serving. In 1999 he met the love of his life, Kimberly, whom he married in 2008. Together they raised three daughters, Josalyn, Jasmin, and Valencia, and twin sons, Michael and David.
Dionissio loved his family fiercely and expressed a sincere passion for everything he did. He is known by his family and friends to be the life of the party and to light up any room that he walked into. He never met a stranger. He could often be heard singing or dancing anytime music was played. He loved to cook and to work on any creative project. Although he struggled with his health in his last years, he was a fighter and overcame many challenges with a joyful spirit and a loving heart.
Dionissio was preceded in death by his father, Migeul. Also, by his mother, Gloria, only one day before his passing. He is survived by his wife Kimberly and their children Valencia, Michael, and David. His daughter Aja Fonseca-Arnold, stepdaughters Josalyn Johnson and Jasmin Oxendine, sister Elaine Valentin, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A celebration of Dionissio's life will be held on Sunday, July 31, 2022, from 2-5 p.m. at 4845 S. 83rd E. Ave. Tulsa, OK 74145. The family humbly asks that instead of flowers, a donation is made to ease the burden of expenses during his unexpected passing. https://gofund.me/3ea2f0ce
