Derrick Waylon Montgomery

Derrick Waylon Montgomery age 24 passed away Monday, September 29, 2008 as a result of a automobile accident.
Derrick was born on December 29, 1983 in Claremore, Oklahoma to John D. Montgomery and Diana (Barrett) Nelms. He grew up in Glenpool and graduated from Glenpool High School in 2001. Derrick liked to fish, hunt and practice target shooting. He worked as a concrete finisher in the construction industry. Derrick attended Guts Church in Tulsa.
Derrick was preceded in death by his grandparents: Robert and Nancy Montgomery and his great-grandfathers: Jim Blackford and Dick Montgomery.
Derrick is survived by his father: John Montgomery and his wife, Shonda of Chelsea; his mother: Diana Nelms of Goodyear, Arizona; his brothers: Bradley and Aaron Montgomery of Glenpool; his grandmother: Velma Gann; his great grandmothers: Marjorie Blackford of Glenpool and Marie Montgomery of Glenpool.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 2nd from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 3rd at First Baptist Church at Main & Broadway in Glenpool. Pastor Bill Scheer of Guts Church will officiate.
