Dennis Neuner, 73 years old, passed away on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma after admission for a traumatic brain injury. His memorial was held at Schaudt's Funeral Home in Glenpool, Oklahoma on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025.
Dennis was born on the 29th of November 1951, in Hayward, California to Clarence "Bud" & Dolores. Dennis attended St. Joseph's High School Mountain View, CA where he graduated in the summer of 1970. He went on to attend Ohlone College in Fremont, CA. Soon after, he married his high school sweetheart, Nona, on October 23, 1971. Dennis and Nona moved to Tyler, TX in 1974 where he began his adult career at Safeway where he would develop lifelong friendships until his death. After many opportunities in California, Nevada and Texas, they moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma in 1996. Dennis served many roles in Oklahoma, but none as meaningful as the career he had with CarMax. Again, forming lifelong friendships with many.
He is preceded in death by his Father Bud, eldest brother Dave, and only sister Denise. He is survived by his loving wife Nona. His daughter Stephanie Blakley, her husband Waco and their children Carver, Kadeem and Addi. His daughter Emily Nabilsi, her husband Zade and their children Audrey, Hudson and Mila. He is also survived by his Mother Dolores, twin brother Don, younger brother Doug, and youngest brother David.
Dennis enjoyed watching his San Francisco Giants and 49ers any chance he could, if not on TV, the radio broadcast and a rocking chair on the front porch would suffice. Any chance to go fishing was always a thrill for Dennis. He absolutely loved getting to spend time with his grandchildren. On many days or evenings, you could find Dennis and Nona on the front porch watching the wide array of birds on the feeders, the cats running around, creek running by, and occasionally he would be enjoying a good glass of watered down whiskey on the rocks.
Dennis loved his wife Nona more than life itself. His daughters, Stephanie & Emily, meant the world to him. He would often lend an ear to listen and a calmness to provide advice when needed. Frequently, he would let everyone know that all three of these women in his life was the definition of happiness and joy. Occasionally, they would even let him win an argument knowing that he was still wrong.
He will be greatly missed, but we know he sits in Heaven with the Lord by his side. Rest in Peace Dennis, we will see you again soon.
