Delia Yvonne Tunley

December 11, 1941 — February 11, 2009

Delia Yvonne Tunley was born in Bristow, Oklahoma to the late Agnes Hardy Austin and Ulyssis Foster on December 11, 1941. A graduate of Bristow High School in 1959, Yvonne met and married Troy Cooper and through this union was blessed with her only son: Troy Dewayne Cooper. She later married Earl Tunley and gained four children: Ginger, Glenda, Johnny and Earl III. Upon returning to Oklahoma Yvonne worked for Lab Corp as a phlebotomist. She retired after twenty years and went to work for Tulsa Public School District as a crossing guard.
Yvonne gave herself to Christ as a young girl at Pilgrim Baptist Church. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Tulsa.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father and one brother: Jerry Dewayne.
Yvonne is survived by her loving husband: Earl Vincent Tunley, Sr.; her beloved son: Troy Dewayne Cooper; her granddaughter: Ashland Cooper; her grandson: Daryl Hill; two sisters: Brenda Austin of Tulsa; Janice Hines of Enid; two brothers: Joel Timmons and Marshall Timmons of Tulsa along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 Sunday, February 15th at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service, Glenpool, Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2009 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 1124 N. Cincinnati Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Reverend Melvin Bailey will officiate.
