Delbert Dean Cornelison

March 13, 1941 — June 7, 2012

Delbert (Dub) Dean Cornelison, son of Walter and Ethel Cornelison, was born March 13, 1941, in Seymour, Missouri. He departed this life, Thursday, June 7th 2012, in his home, in Mounds, Oklahoma, at the age of seventy-one years, two months, and twenty five days. Delbert graduated from Seymour High School, Seymour, MO in 1959.On April 7th 1961, he was united in marriage to Shirley Arlene Owens at Seymour, Missouri;and to this union four children were born. He worked as a Forklift Operator at Liberty Glass Co. for more than 20 years and retired in 2003, he most recently worked at Walmart as a greeter since 2005. He was a member of New Life Tabernacle in Sand Springs, OK. In his spare time Dub enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his Parents; his wife, one brother, Gilbert Cornelison; and two sisters, Vera Hord, Opel Cantrell. Delbert (Dub) is survived by; his children, son, Nick Owens, and his wife, Liz,of Mounds, Oklahoma; daughter, Dedera Smith, and her husband, John, of Glenpool,Oklahoma; daughter, Brenda Bittle, and her husband, Ricky, of Glenpool, Oklahoma; son, Denton Cornelison, and wife Janetta, of Glenpool, Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren, Gerad,Austin, Valerie, and husband T.J., Dustin, David, Justin, and wife Misty, Pashey, and husband Jamie, Brandy, Ashley, Amanda, Amy, Jaci, Dameon, Jordan; eight great-grandchildren, Asia, Kelsey, Jacob,Colton, DJ, Payton, Jackson, James; one sister Nelli West of Seymour, Missouri; a host of nieces, and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Schaudt's Funeral Service & Cremation Care. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 11th, 2012 at the New Life Tabernacle, Sand Springs, OK, with Reverend Daniel Switzer officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Mounds, OK. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
