Ms. Deborah Lynn Duganitz (Debbie), of Tulsa, OK passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the age of 63.
Debbie was born to Parents Frank Duganitz and Marilyn Thornton in Lamar, CO on October 12, 1952. She had three siblings, Frank, Cheryl and Judy. They made frequent moves between California and Arkansas. Debbie attended Herbert Hoover High School in San Diego, CA. She later attended technical training in ARK to become a carpenter.
She was the second woman Journeyman Carpenter in Tulsa, OK. employed by the Carpenter’s Union. After leaving the Union, she still continued to utilize her carpentry skills working on and repairing numerous houses. In addition to carpentry, she also raised dogs for many years.
She was very artistic and creative. She had a gift for drawing, painting, sewing, and creating unique crafts. She enjoyed spending time outdoors; hunting, and fishing. Debbie participated with different groups both square dancing and clogging, as well as country and western dancing for many years.
Debbie is survived by three children Chandra Moore of Coweta, OK; Michelle Pond of Broken Arrow, OK; and Ashley Pond of Springdale, ARK; and by five Grandchildren Noah Moore, Jonah Moore, Hannah Moore, Luke Moore and Daylee Hill; and her sister Judy Capone; and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Sr and Marilyn Thornton; her sister, Cheryl Fields; her brother, Frank Jr; and her granddaughter Sarah Moore.
A memorial to honor Debbie’s life will be held at Coweta First Assembly of God on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:30.
