A Memorial Service honoring the life of Deborah Ann Johnson will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018, 10am at Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service Chapel.
Debi passed away in the early morning hours of Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital. She was 61. She was born on July 22, 1956 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Katherine and Mel Winegarten.
Debi was one of four children, raised in the Tulsa area. She had many fond memories of traveling to Biloxi, Mississippi to spend time with her grandparents and distant relatives. She graduated from Memorial High School, and furthered her education at the University of Oklahoma, receiving a Bachelor of Business. She worked in Marketing for Johnson and Johnson and Coca-Cola Company, but found her true joy being a homemaker for her children.
Debi was very passionate about ballroom dancing and swing dancing. Her love for dancing went hand in hand with her love of music and singing. She sang with the church choir for many years. She enjoyed crafting and had an exceptional green thumb; she had the ability to make anything grow. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Winegarten; and siblings, Brenda Welker and Larry Winegarten.
Survivors include her children, Jordan Johnson and wife, Jenifer of Tulsa, OK, Melody Johnson and partner, Jarrod Holloway of Orlando, FL; father, Mel Winegarten; brother, Kenny Winegarten; grandchildren, Luke Johnson and Alora Johnson; many nieces and nephews; and a host of many family and friends.
Arrangements are entrusted to Schaudt's Tulsa Funeral Service and Cremation Care Centers. Family and friends may share memories or condolences with the family, online at www.schaudtfuneralservice.com.
