Dean E. Bengel

Dean Eugene Bengel passed away April 1, 2015 at his residence in Tulsa. He was born August 23, 1944 in Ord, Nebraska to George Heber and Mae Beatrice (McVay) Bengel. He graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in Nebraska in 1962. Dean served his country honorably in both the United States Army and United States Air Force. He loved guns and he was known by many to be quite the practical jokester. He always told the kids to "stay golden." Dean worked in the sewing machine business most of his career. He retired as the owner of a Singer Sewing Center franchise.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister: Joyce Pichler. He is survived by his loving wife Margie Bengel; his only daughter: Melissa Beams; his four sons: Christian and wife Brynda Bengel, Shane and wife Holly Bengel, Shawn Bengel, Cody and wife Jennifer Bengel; 13 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and his two sisters: Judy Halm and Bonnie Blacklock.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher W. Teel of Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service at Memorial Park in Tulsa. A memorial ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 AM Wednesday in the chapel at Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service. Interment is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday at Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
