De Forrest Hill, III

De Forrest Hill passed away on January 30, 2024. He was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma on October 6, 1942 to George Anderson Hill and Margaret Leolia Hill (Green). He was educated in Ponca City, attended McKinley Grade School, East Junior High, and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1960. Later that year in August, he entered the United States Air Force, where he was an Autopilot/Compass Systems Technician. He was stationed at Chanute AFB Illinois, Perrin AFB, Texas, and Naha AB, Okinawa. He was honorably discharged in August,1964. He was an instructor at Spartan School of Aeronautics, spent a year in Vietnam as a civilian helicopter inspector for NHA, Incorporated, and retired from American Airlines in 2003. He married the love of his life, Ruby Brooks in 1972. His hobby was controline model airplanes. He was a member of the Academy of Model Aircraft and was a Contest Director, a Leader Member, and was awarded an AMA Fellowship. He loved cats, and in the past volunteered to help at pet adoption agencies. Surviving are his wife, Ruby, and his two sons Jeff and Kyle Brooks. Also surviving are a sister, Mildred Blanton, and a brother, George Hill and wife Jane, and several nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to De's favorite charities, StreetCats Pet Adoption Service located at 6520 East 60th Street, Tulsa OK 74145; and John 3:16 Mission, 506 North Cheyenne Avenue, Tulsa, 74103. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
