Dawn Kirk

Dawn Darlene (Zane) Kirk age 56 passed away from the loving arms of her family and on to eternity on Monday, February 10, 2014 at her Jenks residence.

Dawn was born August 20, 1957 in Key West, Florida to Bob Zane and Ethel "Pepper" (Walker) Zane. She graduated from Berryhill High School with the Class of 1976. Dawn married Lloyd Ray Kirk on February 14, 1984.

Dawn was known for her hands-on instruction of, and advocacy for, children at Jenks Elementary School's West Adventure Club. Dawn was best known in the Jenks area as, "Miss Dawn". She had a talent for solving crossword puzzles, and a passion for entertaining friends and family on her front porch.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ronald Zane.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Kirk, her sons, Charles Thompson and Brian Kirk, her daughter, Kyla Kirk, granddaughter, McKenzey Pepper Thompson, her sisters, Denise Maceyka and Doreen White, other family members a host of dear friends.

A celebration of life is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Tulsa Hills Baptist Church, 8600 S. Union Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
