David Sloan

David Shane Sloan David Shane Sloan, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at the age of 52. He was born April 30, 1958 to Jack and Loretta (Johnson) Sloan in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his son, Simon Shane Sloan, father, Jack Sloan and sister, Kim Sloan. Survivors include his mother, De Sloan of Okmulgee; life partner for 35 years, Betty Jean Sloan of the home; son, David Lee Sloan of the home; sisters, Deann Denney and husband, Kenny of Crosby, Texas and Kay Sloan of Okmulgee; one grandson, Lane Sloan and nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 17, 2010 at the Belvin Baptist Church with Keeper Johnson officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
