David Robert Davis

David Robert Davis, Sr., 67, of McAlester, died July 6, 2015 after a short illness. Born May 29, 1948, in McAlester, he was the son of Jim and Ruth Davis (deceased). He married Glenda Gayle Roberts (deceased) on July 5, 1966, in McAlester. He worked for Mid-Continent Casualty Company for 15 years, and in 1990, he and Gayle formed Frontier Adjusters.

He was a longtime member of McAlester Men’s Bowling Association and McAlester High School Band Boosters. His hobbies included bowling, fishing, and playing golf.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Tom Gera, of Quakertown, Pa.; one son and daughter-in-law, David Jr. and Serge Paulyn Ramirez Davis, of the Philippines; five grandchildren, Megan Elizabeth Gera, Michael Elias Gera, Thea Angela Ramirez, Tristan Angelo Ramirez, and Thea Angelee Ramirez; one sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Fayne Sisco, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Charles and Tiny Roberts, of McAlester, three sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Kathy and Don Blackwell, of McAlester, Pattye and Bret Rivas, of McAlester, and Charla and Jeff Ketchum, of McAlester, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 6PM at the Davis residence. All friends and relatives are invited to come. Dinner will be served immediately following the service.
