David Michael Loftin passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at the age of 59 years, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
David was born on July 1, 1963 in Geneva, Illinois to his parents, Jack and Delores (Lotz) Loftin.
While at Edison High School he participated in the marching band, during which he fell in love with music. After graduating from high school in 1982 he enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably from 1986 until 1993 as an Intelligence Assistant. After his separation from the Army he attended Tulsa Junior College where he earned his degree to practice as a Paralegal, which he did for over 25 years.
David had a long lasting love for both music and his country, which he eagerly shared with others. He managed several blues bands and participated in Civil War reenactments. David thoroughly enjoyed learning about history and communicating his knowledge. Along with long talks about different military strategies he also enjoyed watching an OU Sooner football game and cheering on the Chicago White Sox baseball team. He was filled with love and light towards everyone, but had a soft spot for his cats. David will be remembered for his deep character, his time serving our country, and his love for family.
David is preceded in death by his father, Jack Loftin and his sister-in-law Deborah (Powell) Loftin.
David leaves many loving memories with his family, including his mother Delores Loftin; beloved girlfriend Debra Yarbrough; siblings, Steve, Mark, and Laurie, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
