David Henry Dosch

June 17, 1950 — August 29, 2018

A memorial service will be held remembering and honoring the life of David Henry Dosch, Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 3 PM at First Christian Church of Claremore with Pastor Charles Ragland officiating. David passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 with his family by his side. He was 68.

He was born on June 17, 1950 in Harvey, North Dakota. He was the son of Ruth Catherine (Heilman) Dosch and Sebastian Dosch.

David grew up in North Dakota and was a 1968 graduate from Esmond High School. After graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on November 5, 1968. He proudly served our country for four years . After he was honorably discharged he served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for a year.

During David's time in the service he married Donna Dosch in 1970 in California.

After he served his time in the reserves David attended two years of trade school then began his 18 years of employment with Quick Trip as a manager. He then began his journey of self-employment as a carpenter, grocery store owner and running a bait shop at Lake Oologah.

David was a man of many trades. He could fix anything that was put in front of him. On David's spare time he enjoyed fishing at the lake and spending time with his grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He loved cheering on Jimmy Johnson during NASCAR races and was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Minnesota Twins. David had a good sense of humor and was known as a jokester. He always extended his hand to help anyone in need at any time. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Catherine (Heilman) Dosch and Sebastian Dosch; sister, Bonnie Dosch; brother, Joseph Dosch; sister-in-law, Kedrin Dosch and his first wife, Donna Dosch.

He is survived by three daughters, Tawnya Holland and her husband, Eric, Silva Knife Chief and her husband, Andrew and Robin Dosch; four grandchildren, Abigail and Lilli Holland and Brennan and Zade Little. He also leaves two sisters, Cyndee Weigel and her husband, Doran and Donna Allen and her husband, Linwood; two brothers, Kenny Dosch and his wife Debbie and Terry Dosch and a number of loved nieces and nephews.
