David Aaron Waters

January 28, 1948 — February 13, 2016

David was born in Pawnee, Oklahoma on January 28, 1948 to George Allen Waters and Lela Myrtle Waters. David went to be with his Heavenly Father on February 13, 2016, due to a lengthy battle with Diabetes.

He married Jean Morris Waters on July 6, 1969.

David was a Sergeant in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. David received the honors of National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 DVC, Combat Infantry’s Badge, Bronze Star Medal W/V (3rd OLC), two overseas Bars, commendation Medal, Purple Heart, Civic Actions Medal, and Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14).

Upon discharging from the Army, David founded DW Cattle Company and continued the family tradition of raising cattle and sheep. David was a proud father and loved helping raise his grandchildren.

David was preceded in death by grandparents, George and Vera Waters and parents, George Allen and Lela Myrtle Waters.

David is survived by his wife, Jean Morris Waters; two sons, Mike Waters and Aaron Waters (daughter-in-law) Savannah Waters; brother, Jimmy Waters; sister, Allene Donley; Aunt, Charlene Johnson; grandchildren, Justice Waters, Liberty Waters, Court Waters, Case Waters, Chance Waters, Zeb Waters and Dallen Waters; as well as numerous other family members and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m., in Morrison, Oklahoma at the Hilltop Country Church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in David’s name to the church memorial fund.
