Darwyn Paul Stevens age 74 passed away Monday, May 23, 2011 at his Mounds residence surrounded by loving family members. Darwyn was born January 11, 1937 to Russ Stevens and Imogene Justice in Red Cloud, Nebraska. He worked as a repairman in the auto body industry. Darwyn served in the United States Navy and was in the Korean War. He married Barbara on October 12, 1982. Darwyn was an active member of Church of Christ and was baptized on January 29, 1984. He enjoyed studying the Bible and was a computer buff. Darwyn was preceded in death by his parents: Russ and Imogene Stevens and his sister: Linda Jones. He is survived by his wife: Barbara Irene Stevens of Mounds; his son: Don Stevens and his wife, Jodi of Sutton, NE; his son: Doug Stevens of Sutton, NE; his daughter: Sheryl Richardson and her husband, Greg of Inavale, NE; his step-son: Mark Claxton of Maui, Hawaii and his step-daughter: Lori Claxton of Florida; along with eighteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011 at Church of Christ, 5th and Osage in Beggs, Oklahoma. Mr. Bill Hamrick will officiate. Interment will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
