Darlene Buckner

Darlene (Washington) Buckner, a resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma went home to be with Jesus on August 04, 2021 at the age of 80 years in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born in Henryetta, Oklahoma on February 27, 1941.

Darlene was a homemaker and she loved praising and worshiping the Lord. She also taught herself how to play a few Christian songs on the piano. You would often find her reading her bible, working on puzzles, both crossword and puzzle pieces and she always had a smile and a conversation ready for anyone.

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Martha (McNac) Washington, her husband Johnny Daniel Buckner Jr, one son, Johnny Daniel Buckner III, brothers Solomon Lee, Bill Washington and Robert Washington and one sister, LouAnna Washington.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dion and wife Sheri Washington of Oklahoma City, Marcy Washington of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and 1 daughter, Trish Buckner of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Grandchildren:Blake Washington of Allen, Texas, Ritchie Frejo of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Kevin Washington of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Lydia and husband Greg Villar of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Christopher Lee, of Okmulgee, Oklahoma, Micheal Lee of Okmulgee Oklahoma. and Kaci and husband MJ El-Far of Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

Great grandchildren: Boston and Hayley Villar of Ponca City, Oklahoma. Nevaeh and Addison Lee of Okemah, Oklahoma, Isabella Lee of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Scarlett Lee of Okmulgee, Oklahoma and Serenity, Dallas and Mylie El-Far of Okmulgee, Oklahoma. and a host of relatives and friends.

A public viewing and visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 5:00-6:00 PM with a wake service to follow from 6:00-7:00 PM at Schaudt Okmulgee Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Butler Creek Indian Baptist Church, 6005 West 108th St South,Oktaha, Oklahoma.
