Darleen Hope Koch

Darleen Hope Koch passed away June 6, 2015 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born July 13, 1948 in Buffalo, New York to Gerald and Ialene (Hostettler) Matter. Darleen married Samuel M. Koch, Jr. on August 28, 1971 in Hamburg, New York. She was a registered nurse who earned her degree at Oklahoma City Community College. Darleen enjoyed quilting in her spare time and she loved to travel in the RV, particularly spending the winter months in Florida. She loved to relax on the beach with a good book, ride bikes with Sam around the neighborhoods, and go on the occasional cruise whenever the opportunity arose.


Darleen is survived by her husband Samuel M. Koch, Jr.; her children Scott and Nicole Koch, Jamie and Susan Koch, Todd Koch, Kevin and Lindsey Koch; her grandchildren Katy, Hope, Grace, Allison, Ryan, Shepard, and Emily; her aunt Joan and uncle Robert Mock, Sr., her siblings Gary and Kathleen Hens, Gerald Matter, Edward and Atchara Matter, James and Colleen Klimtzak, and Charlene Borowski; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Christopher W. Teel of Schaudt-Teel Funeral Service at Memorial Park, 5757 S. Memorial Drive in Tulsa. A memorial ceremony is scheduled for 10:00 AM Saturday, June 27 at Fellowship Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Fellowship Lutheran Church, 6727 S. Sheridan Rd., Tulsa, OK 74133. Contributions in Darleen’s memory will be designated for a congregational project or ministry of the family’s choosing. Your thoughtfulness is greatly appreciated.
