Danny Lee Musick

Danny Lee Musick passed away, Saturday, August 4, 2018 surrounded by friends and family. He was 71.

Danny was born on September 24, 1946 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Mary Ellen (Piatt) Musick and Lewis Earl Musick.

He was a 1964 graduate from Bixby High School. After high school, Danny continued his education at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, graduating with a bachelor's degree in Geology.

Not long after completing college, he enlisted in the United States Navy on March 27, 1969 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He served our country during Vietnam for three years.

After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Danny returned home to Bixby to work on the family farm. He eventually went on to work for the 584 Electrical Union as an electrical apprentice and then finished his career at the United States Post Office from where he retired.

He was a member of the Astrology Club and the Rock and Mineral Society.

Danny's true love in life was reading and collecting books. He had an extensive collection of books, most of them being science-fiction. He often went to local flea markets to find new books to add to his collection. Danny was a simple guy with a wicked sense of humor. He was often known as "the king of puns". He will missed dearly by his friends and family.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ellen (Piatt) Musick and Lewis Earl Musick.

Survivors include one brother, Don Musick and his wife, Renae; sister, Cheryl Brown and many nieces and nephews.
