Daniel Van Hagen

Daniel Alan Van Hagen, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011 at the age of 47. He was born December 2, 1964 to Donald Van Hagen and Beverly (Shaw) in Sonora, California. He graduated from Oakdale High School and married Michelle McCurdy for Oakdale, California. He is survived by his children, Sharyn Rene Van Hagen of Oakdale, CA, Marcus Alan Van Hagen of Bakersfield, CA and Elizabeth Ileen Van Hagen of Oakdale, CA; grandchildren, Mikey Barnard of Oakdale, CA and Kloe Kelly of Oakdale, CA. Daniel then moved to Oklahoma and married Stacie Lynn McDaniels of Beggs and survived by his children, Danielle Van Hagen of Beggs and step-daughter, Delta McDaniels of Okmulgee; mother, Beverly Payne; father, Ray Payne; sisters, Tracy Lynn Thompson of Atwood and Anna Lee Smith of Allen. Daniel worked as a dry wall employee in California for 10 years and for an Oil Well Company in Oklahoma for 16 years. Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2011 at the Oasis Church in Okmulgee. Arrangements are under the direction of the Shurden-Jackson Funeral Home in Okmulgee.
