Daniel James Givens

Daniel James Givens,84 died on May 6th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born June 26, 1936 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Charlie and Susie (Hawkins) Givens. He married Shirely Salters on September 28, 1962 in Kerman, California. Daniel retired from United States Postal Service after 27 years in Mendota California. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Daniel enjoyed golfing and tennis. He loved talking to and making friends wherever he went. He loved spending time with his family and loved the Lord with all his heart. He attended Solid Rock Baptist Church in Glenpool, Oklahoma.


He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Susie Givens, beloved wife Shirley Givens, Brothers Pleaz Hawkins, Sam Givens, Charles Givens, Monroe Givens and sister Jean Garcia. Survivors include daughter Tracie and husband Mark Davis, Son Marshall Givens; grandchildren include Justin Givens, Daniel and his wife Dorie Davis, Caitlin Craddock, and Zachary Craddock; great-grandchildren Riley, Harper, Atlas as well as one on the way. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Viewing will be Wednesday May 12, 5:00 pm with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service. Celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 13th, 11:00 am at Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service with interment at Hanna, Cemetery.
