Daniel “Danny” William Beasley, Sr., a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 at the age of 69. He was born January 15, 1946 to William Spencer Beasley and Dollie Ada (Johnson) Beasley in Alligator, Mississippi. On October 20, 1979, he married Martha Marie Anne Evans in West Pittsburg, CA. Danny retired in 1996 and prior to his retirement, he was Supervisor of Property Maintenance, where he and his wife were self-employed DBA: Beasley Property Management. From 1985-1997, he was a specialized therapeutic foster care parent with DHS in Contra Costa County, California. He received awards for his service and dedication to children’s families. Working toward re-unification thru the Juvenile Justice System for the State of California and provided care for over 250 children within the 12 year period of time and was dedicated to the children and families until 2009.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Spencer and Dollie Ada Beasley; son, Anthony James Beasley; siblings, Mary Louise Beasley, Thelma Joyce Beasley, Jerry Raymond Beasley and David Eugene Beasley.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Martha Marie Anne Beasley of the home; four children, Jason Gorman of Frederick, Jaime Moen and husband, Roger of Okmulgee, Julie Beasley of Okmulgee and Daniel Beasley, Jr. and wife, Tina of Okmulgee; four siblings, Howard Erskin Beasley, Larry Joe Beasley, Deborah Jeanne Simmons and husband, J.C. and Charles Ray Beasley and wife, Delaney of Bay Pointe, CA; eleven grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Okmulgee with Father Joshua E. Litwack officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Okmulgee Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and family will greet friends that evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Schaudt’s Okmulgee Funeral Service.
Pallbearers will be Roger Moen, Brad Moen, Jason Gorman, Dan Beasley, Jr., Neil Nunn and Stan Beasley.
