Danelle Carol Wilcox, 43, died at her home in Glenpool, Oklahoma on Thursday, June 1, 2017. She was born on April 6, 1974 to Joshua B. and Margaret A. (Johnson) Christy. She was raised in Glenpool, played school league volleyball and graduated from Glenpool High School in 1992. She attended Tulsa Tech in Broken Arrow and received her license in Cosmetology. She served her beloved clientele as a hairstylist in Tulsa for the past 25 years, and at Allure Salon in Tulsa since 2005. She met her loving husband, Kenneth Brian Wilcox, in 2009 and the two were joined in holy matrimony at Trinity Lutheran Church of Okmulgee on May 20, 2011.
Danelle loved being surrounded by her family and friends. She was a proud mother and an amazing grandmother. She loved quilting, dabbling in photography, discovering her family’s genealogy, going to hair shows, and traveling. She loved watching NASCAR races, hearing blonde jokes, and was one of the most devoted University of Oklahoma football fans--she loved cheering on the Sooners! She had a servant’s heart, teaching VBS and Sunday school classes, and helping those in need. She was an avid member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Okmulgee since 2012. Danelle loved to play games with her family during holidays, keep in touch with family and friends via social media, and aggravate her daughters, cousins, and especially her husband, to no end!
Her father, Joshua B. Christy, Jr. precedes her in death.
