Cynthia Lynn Williams

Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn (Kiersey) Williams passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 surrounded by her family. She was 65.

Cindy was born on July 2, 1952 in Burlington, Iowa. She was the daughter of Thomas Albert Kiersey Jr. and Jessie Dee (Stine) Kiersey.

She was a 1970 graduate from Ankeny High School. Cindy attended United States Personal Chef Association to become a chef.

In 1971 she met Michael Lee Williams, the love of her life. They were married on November 11, 1972 in Ankeny, Iowa.

Cindy worked at American Airlines for 20 years and retired in June of 2016.

She loved to cook, bake and spend time with her cats and dogs. Cindy and Mike enjoyed hosting get-togethers and often had murder mystery parties. She loved seeing others enjoy her food and hospitality. She will be greatly missed by all.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Albert Kiersey Jr. and Jessie Dee (Stine) Kiersey.

Survivors include her husband, Michael Lee Williams; sister, Sue Bush; sister-in-law, Marylou Grandquist and her husband, Jim; nephews, Bryan Bush and his wife, Karen and their children, Aaron Bush and his wife, Kate and their children, Jamie Graves and his wife, Carol, Ryan Graves and his wife, Whitney; and niece, Kellie DeCamp and her husband, Aaron.
