Craig White

June 12, 1971 — September 14, 2024

Craig Alan White, 53, passed away on September 14, 2024, surrounded by his family. Craig was born on June 12, 1971, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, to Alan and Sharon (Gilliland) White.

He attended Bixby Public Schools, where he played baseball and was part of the swim team, before graduating from high school in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in 1989. In 1990, he returned to Oklahoma and enrolled at Spartan School of Aeronautics, pursuing his passion for mechanics and engineering.

Craig found his career in the lumber and construction industry, following in his father's footsteps. He worked for several companies, including Hughes Lumber, Hope Lumber, Bixby Lumber, ProBuild, Builders FirstSource, and Millcreek, where he was known for his excellent character, hard work, and dedication.

Craig married the love of his life, Tammy, on Valentine's Day in 2008, a date chosen for Tammy's love of hearts. His love for his wife was evident in every aspect of his life, as he treated her like a queen and was her fierce protector. Together, they shared a life filled with joy, laughter, and adventure, and their bond was admired by all who knew them.

Craig will be remembered for his infectious laugh, his love of family, and his unwavering devotion to his children. He had a deep respect for his mother, a strong connection with God, and a reputation for being caring and goofy. In his free time, Craig enjoyed fishing, traveling, skydiving, cooking, and BBQ-he was especially known for his smoked brisket and red beans and rice. He had a great love of the outdoors, often spending time target shooting or rooting for his favorite teams, the Oklahoma Sooners, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Baker Mayfield.

A man of family and faith, Craig's love for those closest to him was undeniable. His memory will live on in the hearts of his wife Tammy, his children, his parents Alan and Sharon, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Craig White is survived by his loving wife, Tammy White of Bixby, OK. He is also survived by his children: Caitlin and Billy Rusco of Oak Harbor, WA, Jr. (Alan) White of Sapulpa, OK, Jordan Freeman of Broken Arrow, OK, Johnny Freeman of Tulsa, OK, and Ian White of Bixby, OK. His daughters-in-law include Rachel Freeman, Jordan's wife, and Cheyenne, Johnny's significant other. He leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Seren and Julia Freeman.

Craig is survived by his siblings, Staci and Tony Johnston, as well as his niece, Casidee Johnston of Guthrie, OK, and his nephew, Lane Johnston of Noble, OK. Additionally, he is remembered by three uncles, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and one great-nephew.

Craig was known for his deep affection for his beloved dog, Zoey, who he treated like one of his own children. Zoey often accompanied him to work, and he would bring her into the office, a testament to their close bond.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Clyde and Pat White of Sapulpa, OK, and his maternal grandparents, Martin and Dorothy Gilliland of Sand Springs, OK.
