Connie Renee Hudspeth left this life and entered into the presence of Jesus Christ her Lord on April 6, 2020, at the age of 73.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Lee and Helen Jeaniece Hughes of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and her husband of 48 years, Bob F. Hudspeth, of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Connie is survived by her daughter Monica Blackburn and husband Sam, daughter Megan Hoey, son Logan Hudspeth and wife Jennifer, and foster daughter Sandy Barnard and husband James.

Connie’s heart was full and her life enriched by eight grandchildren and three foster grandchildren: Caleb, Sydney, and Jordyn Blackburn; Kyndall, Addyson, and Ryann Hoey; Gehrig and Maris Hudspeth; Lauren Sandoval, JB, and Sophie Barnard.

She is also survived by her sister Darla Sharp and husband Wade of Sand Springs, and her sister Mary Sharp of Sand Springs, as well as several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Connie attended Sand Springs’ schools through the 9th grade, Ozark Adventist Academy, and Southwestern Adventist Academy in high school, and Draughon School of Business, which began her career in bookkeeping. She later earned an Accounting Degree from Tulsa University.

Connie and Bob were married on September 30, 1972, and enjoyed 48 years of faithful and loving companionship. They started the engineering company, FHC, Inc., in 1981 where Connie served as Accountant and CEO until her retirement. She loved gardening, cooking, traveling, and being Mimi to her grandchildren.

Connie accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior as a teen and relied on his guidance throughout her life. As His servant, she discipled others in Christian living, volunteered at Christ for Humanity, and was always a guiding light to her family and friends. Even in death, Connie was able to save three lives through the donation of her organs.

Her family is assured that Connie is now abiding with Jesus for He states, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” Thank you, Lord, for the gift of Connie in our lives. She was extremely loved, and she will be extremely missed.
