Clyde Oliver Tarwater

Clyde Oliver Tarwater passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born October 19, 1945 in Tulsa to Roy Barnett and Lula Nadine (Wright) Tarwater.

Clyde attended Rogers High School in Tulsa. During his early years he played baseball and worked hard hauling hay with his brothers. He entered into the Air Force and served in active duty combat during the Vietnam War from 1962 - 1967.

Clyde worked many years in the road construction industry and several years at Thermal Cold Storage and Hale Halsell Company, a food distribution company.

Clyde enjoyed fishing, betting on horse races, watching races on television and his family.
He was proceeded in death by his parents; grandparents; three half brothers: Henry, Joe and Leroy; two half sisters: Mary Ann and Eulala and brother, Sammy.

Clyde is survived by his wife, Gwynn of the home; children: Scott of Jenks, Carla Beaver, Shela and Ken Crump of Tulsa, Brooke and Keith Tartar of Cherokee, Kansas, Trenton and Molly Tarwater of Carl Junction, Missouri, Chad Haugh of Sand Springs; step children: Shawn E. Blue, Amanda M. Blue, Mark Aguirre; brothers: Ray and Terri Tarwater of Broken Arrow, William "Bill" and Cathy Tarwater of Avant, Paul and Vicky Tarwater of Barnsdall; sisters: Betty and Eddie Douglas of Owasso, Faye Adkins of Laverne, Ok; eighteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
