Clyde Arthur Smith, Jr.

Clyde Arthur Smith, Jr. age 81 passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family members. Clyde was born October 20, 1929 in Kaw City, Oklahoma to Clyde Arthur Smith, Sr. and Etta D. (Rickman) Smith. Clyde grew up in the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma area. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School with the Class of 1947. Clyde married Pauline Evelyn Metzger on June 24, 1949 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Before Clyde retired he worked in the oil field supply business for forty-three years. In his spare time Clyde enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and his grandkids. Clyde was preceded in death by his parents: Clyde and Etta Smith, his two sisters: Dorothy Harrell and Gracie Galantine. He is survived by his loving wife Pauline Smith (they would have celebrated sixty-two years on June 24th); his son: Tim Smith of Sulphur, Oklahoma; his daughter: Polly Wier and her husband, Marvin of Yukon, Oklahoma; his sister: Betty Dalton of Chouteau, Oklahoma; many grandchildren along with other family members and friends. Funeral services are 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Schaudt's Funeral Home Chapel, Glenpool, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Park Grove Cemetery in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Pastor Kevin Fouts of Discovery Church in Yukon, Oklahoma will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Daniel C. Schaudt of Schaudt's Glenpool Funeral Service & Cremation Care.
