Memorial service honoring Clifford Eugene Gardner will be held Friday, December 1, 2017, 12PM at Fort Gibson National Cemetery, Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. He passed away on Friday, November 17th, at the Claremore Veterans Center. He was 70 years old.
Clifford was born in Culver City, CA on October 2, 1947, a son of Doris (Young) and Ernest Hugh Gardner. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving as a Sergeant both in active duty and Army Guard. He was a decorated veteran receiving the National Defense Service Medal , Expert Infantryman Badge, Good Conduct Medal, and Marksmanship Medal for both the M-16 and M-14 rifles.
Clifford was a man of many talents; and retired from welding. He was a true outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting and fishing but his favorite past time was spent riding his motorcycle.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife and parents, Doris (Young) and Ernest Hugh Gardner.
Survivors include his daughter, Tiffiney Fonville and husband, Joe of Collinsville; son, Guy Gardner of Waxahachie, TX; and sister, Nancy Chrisco of Bartlesville, OK; two step-children, Davis Carver and Jerry Carver; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
