Claudia A. Bishop

BISHOP, Claudia Ann, 61, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, after a long illness. Claudia was born in Los Angeles, California, on September 20, 1952, the youngest of five children born to parents Wayne E. Bishop and Nellie E. (Guilford) Bishop. She was preceeded in death by both parents and by a brother, Glen Ernest Bishop.

Claudia fulfilled her artistic nature through drawing, painting and craft-making. She loved her little canine companion, Gracie, but the light of her life was seeing or bragging about her grandchildren. An avid reader, her shelves were always overflowing with her collection of books, but she reserved plenty of room for her adored figurines, particulary of elephants.

She is survived by two sons, Ronald Wies, Jr. (Sherry) and Gregory Wies (Tiffany), both of the Tulsa/Broken Arrow area, and four grandchildren, Bailey, Garrett, Zyler and Dayson Wies. She also leaves two brothers, Wayne Bishop (Caryll) of Broken Arrow, Jeffrey Bishop of Edmond, Oklahoma, and one sister, Nora Fleming (Henry) of Troy, Michigan. Numerous other friends and relatives will miss her and mourn the loss of Claudia’s quick wit and her wry sense of humor.

The family wishes to thank the caregivers at ManorCare Health Services as well as at Hillcrest Hospital for providing Claudia with critical therapy, care and friendship during her illness.
