Claud Mcgee

September 13, 1935 — October 26, 2016

While surrounded by his loving family, Claud McGee, Morris resident, went to be with his Lord, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 81 years old.

Claud was born September 13, 1935 in Earle, Arkansas to Claude Henry McGee and Nellie Leora (Kirby) McGee. He was a member of the Preston Assembly of God Church. Claud married Susan (Hardin) in Carthrage, MO on June 10, 1976. Claud was affectionately nicknamed “Junior” or “Junie”. He embraced life and shared his love of God with everyone he encountered. He enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, telling stories, singing, and playing guitar. Many can attest to being “victims” of his practical jokes. Claud’s 81 years saw him become a civilian Supply Support worker at the North Little Rock AFB, a security guard at Braden Winch in Okmulgee, an auxiliary police officer for the Tulsa police department, a semi truck driver for Chandler Materials, and he was a carpenter for many years. Claud served as a missionary throughout Mexico, Guatemala, and El Salvador. Claud brought the word of God to many people for over 60 years; starting as a charter member of the Church of God in North Little Rock, AR. In 1961, he served as assistant pastor of the Bixby Free Holiness Church. His pastoral calling also took him to churches in several communities throughout Eastern Oklahoma, such as the Stigler Antioch Free Holiness Church, the Anchor of Hope church in Tulsa and the Jay Bird Church in Westville.

He is preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; six sisters; and grandson, Todd Demello.

Claud leaves many loving memories with his family, wife Susan, of the home; daughters, Debbie Boyer, and husband Jack, Sandra Hardin, and husband Billy; sons, Sam McGee, and wife, Kathey, Allen McGee, Terry McGee, Aaron Biggs, Sean McGee and wife, Danialle, Jonathan McGee; sister, Ruby Jones and husband Benny; twelve grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews, as well as many other loving family members and a host of friends.
