Clarence Harold Cochran

July 15, 1925 — November 18, 2019

In Loving Memory of Clarence Harold Cochran, age 94. Clarence lived in Palm Coast, Florida. A proud World War 2 combat veteran of the United States Army went home to our Lord Jesus Christ on November 18, 2019 at the home of his daughter in Oklahoma.

The son of Raymond and Mary (Rock) Cochran, Clarence Cochran, was born on July 15, 1925 in Trenton, NJ and grew up in Ewing Township, NJ. Clarence retired from General Motors where he was employed as an auto maker for over 35 years.

At the age of 18, Clarence began serving our country in the US Army as a combat solder in the 88th Infantry Division. Clarence was wounded during the battle to liberate the Italian city of Volterra from German Nazi control. After the war, Clarence received an Honorable Discharge with the rank of Sergeant and he was awarded a Purple Heart, Army Occupation Medal, World War 2 Victory Medal and a Silver Star Medal of Honor for heroic action.

Clarence Cochran is survived by a son, Larry J. Cochran & his wife, Deborah; and daughters, Lynell Cochran and Debra Howell & her husband, Jeff. In addition, he is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Clarence was predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce.

Clarence will always be remembered for his positive attitude and his ability to sing low baritone country music. Clarence will be always loved and missed.

An interment ceremony was held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma.
